The Independent English Wine Awards
The Independent English Wine Awards, (IEWA) is a consumer-focused competition with the sole aim of promoting the English Wine industry as a whole.
Two weeks ago, I went to Bristol to participate in the inaugural judging. I was exceedingly impressed with the organisation of the event and the quality of the products displayed. The English wine industry was widely represented with a range of styles, grape varieties and vintages entered.
The results of the competition have just been released: visit iewa.uk/gallery to view the winners.
The IEWA is championing the burgeoning English wine industry, involving all aspects of the trade and members of the public to encourage, enthuse and positively convey that these are consistently high quality wines. I am very proud to have been a part of the inaugural judging and look forward to seeing The IEWA flourish in the coming years.
